Hey everyone....
I'm having great deals of trouble using the new Rhythmbox (0.4.99.4). I built/installed it, started it up, pointed it to my music, and everything seemed fine. It loaded all the thousands of songs I have, and I played a few and everything was ok.
I shut it down, restarted it, and it core dumped after the system tray note appeared, but before any window appeared. I can't start it now. The last few lines from debug output are:
[0x80d1e38] [rb_shell_player_sync_buttons] rb-shell-player.c:1171 (22:32:49): syncing with source 0x81e1358

[0x80d1e38] [rb_shell_start_operation] rb-shell.c:931 (22:32:49): starting operation
and then a core dump.
Is there anything else I can do to help debug this? I'm using gentoo linux so I'm kind of prepared for screwy rhythmbox behavior from the bad old RB days :)
