I was a bit ot fast, After searching my config i say that id3tag was missing so i have installed from source: libid3tag-0.15.1b dit a make clean, a new configure and got this result: configure: Rhythmbox was configured with the following options: configure: ** Tree database is enabled configure: ** MP3 support is enabled configure: Ogg Vorbis support is disabled configure: FLAC support is disabled configure: MPEG-4 support is disabled configure: ** Multimedia keys support is enabled configure: Dashboard support is disabled configure: ** xine backend is enabled configure: ** GtkTreeView workaround enabled configure: End options witch looks fine, i dit make install run rhythmbox, but it still don't import my mp3 files, i took another look at the config i found this: checking for id3tag >= 0.15.0b... Package id3tag was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `id3tag.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'id3tag' found checking id3tag.h usability... yes checking id3tag.h presence... yes checking for id3tag.h... yes checking for id3_frame_field in -lid3tag... yes indeed id3tag.pc is not on my computer but i have installed libid3tag-0.15.1b schould i installsomething another ?
