Heya,
some minutes ago i hit like a crazy guy on the middle key of my mouse to
open a folder in a new window. Wouldn't it be a cool feature if nautilus
was able to open folders and files in new windows the way i do in
galeon/mozilla?
I'm using single-click for navigation, so navigating through my files is
very close to web-browsing, so why shouldn't we have the keybindings a
webbrowser uses for a new window in a filemanager too?
I think of the following solution:
1. single-click mode:
In the single-click mode nautilus should IMHO behave like galeon, that
is open files/folders in new windows if:
a) shift is pressed during the click, or
b) the file is opened with a click on the middle-button
2. in double-click mode:
in the double-click mode nautilus should IMHO open a file/folder in a
new window if:
a) shift is pressed during the double-click, or
b) it was a middle-key double-click
