In List view, there is a quicksearch box when you press Ctrl+F. It
just doesn't work yet...

Out of curiosity: if the box isn't always visible, wouldn't users forget
having typed something in it? I am thinking of the following scenario:
you press CTRL+F, write some text in the box, press enter, and the files
not matching are hidden. So you easily find the file (or files) you were
looking for, and you use them. But then, since you don't see the box,
you will likely forget having entered text into it, and not understand
why your files have disappeared. this could be confusing, even panic
some users.
Or is the box automatically cleared after you use a file?
