yeah,

2 different widgets used... but i noticed that evolution solved this
slow scrolling issue that way. if you are in the compose window of
evolution they seem to have removed the pixmap when marking text and all
other pixmap related resource that may slow down scrolling. it may also
be an own widget dunno. but it may be possible setting some resources in
balsa's compose window to 'not use pixmaps'
