Well, it works on Sid/Woody - there just isn't a channel to subscribe to
for updates.
And, as someone who hasn't tried it in a while - how does it handle
debconf? Does it make sure gnome-debconf front-end is loaded? Also,
what about the packages that ask questions/run-scripts on the
command-line? (Yes, those are broken, but a few still exist I believe.)
Those right there are good reasons why a universal package manager can't
exist. ~,^
