Some separate partition mounted as /courses in this case.

Normally users would want to create bookmarks directly to the various
sub directories for their course. For example /courses may contain a
subdirectory for each instructor who then can have a subdirectory for
each of their courses. Those course directories or instructor
directories may be remotely mounted. Some instructors prefer to have
them local since we then can have slightly different data files on each
machine. Initially students would need to navigate to the right
directories to add those bookmarks.

Sorry, I wasn't clear: I did not mean to type out `delete' but to type
the delete key. And I also didn't mean to select a folder on the right
but a bookmark on the left.
