You "summing it up" seems to miss out on one very much valid point:
Simply stick with C, while accepting C++/Python into core (desktop,
not DP). Oh my, that's the choice I'm most fond of -- what a
coincidence.

Yeah, and my ideology goes strongly for C and Python. C for it's
assembly-like ease of use, and assembly-like features, and Python for
all not C.
