 The macOS System Preferences still does this best, imho — you can
 search for any word in any preferences panel, plus a bunch of useful
synonyms too. So if you search for "wallpaper", it'll take you to the "Desktop & Screensaver" preferences, even though the term "wallpaper"
 isn't actually used anywhere.

We've had this functionality since before GNOME 3.0.
