You HOTO is quite helpful.
However you should add a section witch describe how to start Brltty,
because at the moment you have to start Brltty by doing the following
after you loged in again and open gnome-terminal or switched to a
virtual consol:
typing  sudo brltty at the terminal
Now you can type orca to start Orca as you described.
