I don't know if that function was ever implemented. You probably want to
use gnome_canvas_item_affine_relative or gnome_canvas_item_affine_absolute.
For some functions for manipulating affine transformations, see the
libart_lgpl/art_affine.h header, or take a look at
gnome-python/pygnome/gnome/affine.py in CVS. The affine.py example gives
some simple code for manipulating affine transformations in a fairly
simple to understand way.
