Panel foot menu favorites

Hi

I was just about to sit down and hack something together to grab the
details of the netscape bookmarks and bung them in a submenu in the
foot menu when I came across a mention of a favorites menu in the
gnome news site.

Is this something that has already been done in CVS? If so, I won't
bother
