undo voodoo that you do

hey list,

is there a gnome-specific interface guideline for handling undo/redo in gnome
apps? i know it seems pretty obvious, but it gets a bit more complicated when
you have an mdi interface. i think it would be helpful to have a single document
that precribed both an undo/redo policy for gnome apps, as well as some
information about implementing such an interface (perhaps to be canonized in
code).

i'd be happy to write such a document if it doesn't exist already ;> if it does,
you can beat me with a salted kipper.
