prefix for gnome_score_init()

I want use gnome_score_init(), gnome_score_log() in my program.
Gnome libs are installed with /usr prefix on my computer. I installed my
program with /usr/local prefix.
But gnome_score_init() try to open /usr/var/games/my_program.scores when I want
to use
/usr/local/var/games/my_program.scores. Is it possible to change the prefix for
score file?
