some notes:

    you might want to mention this url with the snapshots i do:

    when using AM_GLIB_GNU_GETTEXT, you need to set the GETTEXT_PACKAGE
    variable to something.  either the same thing as PACKAGE, or if it
    is parallel installable with a 1.x version, PACKAGE-2.0.  when using
    PACKAGE with gettext calls in your C files, you should replace them
    with GETTEXT_PACKAGE.

otherwise it looks very nice, and would have been helpful a couple of
months ago when i started working on gnome 2 stuff.
