Questions about the menu

Hello Gnomers!


I don't feel that the Debian menu that is merged into the gnome menu 
is that usable. It's badly organized and not updated in a long time.
Can I get rid of it some way? ~/.gnome2/vfolders does not seem to
contain the root of the menu...



Is it possible it merge the applications menu into the main menu?
