Hi, I use Gnome 2.4-beta1 on my laptop, and it's very slow. I prefer to use gnome-2.2.x because it's faster. By example, i want to launch an application with the small dialog "Launch an application" ( ALT+F2 ). I have to wait +- 7 sec to enter the name of this application. my laptop is an AMD 2.2Ghz, with 256Mb of RAM. for me it's enough for Gnome. Stephane Wirtel Best Regards
