Yes, this makes things clear. Th netmeeting user has installed GSM codec but 
still the audio doesnt work, here is the general history:
16:01:32 Call from rc sar 
16:01:38 Answering incoming call
16:01:41 Opened /dev/sound/dsp for recording with plugin OSS
16:01:41 Opened codec MS-GSM{sw} for transmission
16:01:41 Connected with rc sar  using Microsoft® NetMeeting®	3.0	181/21324
16:01:41 Opened /dev/sound/dsp for playing with plugin OSS
16:01:41 Opened codec G.711-uLaw-64k{sw} for reception
16:01:41 Opened codec H.261-QCIF for reception
16:01:43 Updated information on the users directory ils.seconix.com.
