You are using gnome-2.1 libraries.  gnumeric currently requires 2.0
This causes problems with

1) libgnomeprint/libgnomeprintui due to api changes

2) libgnomecanvas causes an assertion failure due to a
   questionable assertion (1.1.12 no longer has this because we
   don't use the gnomecanvas that hard anymore)

move back to the 2.0 libraries.
