Status of GtkAssistant?

Hi,
It seems that GtkAssistant missed the 2.6 train and I was wondering why
that happened? It was announced a year ago and some discussion about
the API happened back then, but in 2.6 plans there seems to be only an
uncertain note. What's keeping GtkAssistant from being included in
gtk+?
