Concept behind GtkTreeView

Hi,

 

Can anyone please explain what is the relation between GtkTreeView - GtkTreeStore - GtkTreeModel.

 

and why GtkTree, GtkCTree, GtkList, GtkCList are deprecated..

 

I want to add  labels(each row has 2 labels, and there are many rows) in my GtkTreeView with a vertical scrollbar.

as all the rows can't be fit in the view area so I have to scroll it down to view labels of other rows...

Any idea how to proceed. some one told me that, I have to add labels to my list/tree then add this list/tree to the GtkTreeView and add a vertical scrollbar to the GtkTreeView... Am I right?
