Yes, it's still there.  If you want to work on this, your first goal
should be to port over the changes made to factor out all the
Linux-specific stuff into monkey-media-audio-cd-linux.c.  Then, start
hacking on sources/rb-audiocd-source.c.  This needs a lot of love; the
new RBSource API is a very refactored version of the old RBView stuff. 
You should look at the other working sources to see how they work.
You will need to uncomment some code in shell/rb-shell.c to startup the
audiocd source.
