[Rhythmbox-devel] browsing albums by year

Hello List,
I'd love to browse the albums of an artist ordered by year. Perfect would be
if one could change (as an option) the column "Album" in the browser to sort
by year instead of alphabetically.

Is there already a solution to achieve this?

If no, are patches welcome? (Yes, I know that an Album can have more than
one year associated, year of first track or median are solutions!)

Alternatively, is it possible to implement this as a plugin? And if yes is
there documentation for plugin development (in python!)?
