Hi,
  I'd just like to contribute a couple of euros towards the discussion on
preference boxen.

  I'm writing an application that uses the zvt widget for something other
than a normal terminal, but I'd like to give it all the relevant options
that the Gnome-terminal has.  So from my point of view I think each widget
which can be configured should come with some form of configuration
dialog box widget or something similar.

  I can imagine that the users of the zvt in my application may want
different settings to the zvt in a standard terminal.
