thanks for your reply. i do see the advantages of using GECKO but how do
you separate it from the rest of the mozilla stuff ? i mean it makes no
sense to install a 25mb binary mozilla package to use the GECKO engine
only. not to mention that it has all the XUL stuff embeded that makes it
nearly NOT integrateable into gnome ? not to mention that the galeon
people were waiting months before a suitable gtk2 embed mozilla arrived
(luckely it's there after you patch like mad). how do you prevent such
things from happening in the future ? i could easily extend this list
but i think you know the disadvantages of using GECKO as is now as good
as i do. a real solution would be a good way. using gecko is only a good
alternative.
