I can not decide this on my own, since I can't test it on the windows
platform and I have no linuxfb version up and running at the moment.
Could the developers of the gdk backends please comment on this.
Does your implementation have a root window that can be treated
as a drawable? Does calling gdk_pixbuf_get_from_drawable() on it
as done in demos/testpixbuf-drawable() give a reasonable result?
Is it possible to draw onto the root window using gdk_draw methods?
